This week’s show is basically just two big segments covering The Mandalorian chapter two and Jedi: Fallen Order. We start the show by discussing favorite moments from The Mandalorian as well as some potential symbolism in the episode and the cruelty of the post-Empire galaxy. The second half of the show features our early experiences playing Jedi: Fallen Order and a discussion of its influences and gameplay systems.
Happy Mando Day, Happy Disney+ Day! This episode features our fresh, raw, SPOILER-FILLED reactions to The Mandalorian Chapter 1 as well as some quick impressions of Disney+.
The bulk of this week’s show is focused on discussing what Benioff & Weiss’s leaving Star Wars could mean for the franchise’s future as well as what might’ve led to their departure. Ryan shares his experience seeing Knives Out (but says absolutely nothing about the plot, so don’t worry about that) and we also spend a few minutes discussing the most recent Mandalorian trailer.
This week’s episode features some lingering questions re: the final TROS trailer. We also ponder the soliciation for Marvel’s Kylo Ren #2 and how it may require us to reconsider what we thought we knew about Ben Solo’s fall and the birth of Kylo Ren. We conclude the show with a few minutes on the toy reveals coming out of Comic Con Paris and the upcoming Doctor Aphra #1 and Darth Vader #1.
Episode #127 features our *immediate* reactions to the final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker. No chapter marks or major editing this week, just our initial reactions to this wildly cool trailer!
This week’s show is all about comics and cartoons! For the comics side of things, we run down the Marvel Star Wars news coming out of NYCC 2019, take a look at some recently announced Star Wars manga, and share our thoughts on the first two Return to Vader’s Castle issues from IDW as well as Star Wars: Allegiances #1 from Marvel. The second half of the show is devoted to discussing the first two episodes of Star Wars Resistance‘s final season before we wrap with a few minutes on Freddie Prinze Jr.’s recent (brilliant) viral monologue.
This episode features the second half of our conversation last week (too big to be contained in just one show!). We begin by discussing the lack of Rose Tico in TROS products and promotion before looking at the publishing announcements from NYCC 2019. We wrap the show up with some talk of the Kevin Feige news and what it may mean for the future of the Star Wars films.
This week’s episode is news heavy again as we discuss Deborah Chow directing the Obi-Wan show, the TROS issue of Empire Magazine, and the (official this time) Triple Force Friday reveals and livestream. We also talk a little bit about Babu Frick, but somehow we forgot to bring up the week’s biggest story: Kevin Fiege producing a future Star Wars film. Whoops.
Triple Force Friday is less than two weeks away, and even though we haven’t really had any official announcements about what’s being released for the event, we spend two hours talking about all of the toys that have leaked so far (pretty much all of them).
This week’s episode is all about Star Wars video games. We kick off the episode by disucssing the recently announced Jedi Knight and Jedi Academy console ports before devoting the rest of the show to taking a look at the recently released and completely excellent Star Wars Pinball package for Switch. We originally planned on discussing the many Rise of Skywalker toy leaks that have been happening lately, but there was just too much pinball to talk this week so we’re saving that discussion for episode 122.
